| Big Rock Candy Mountain - Minerals have colored this distinctive landmark green, tan, brown, orange, yellow and gray. In 1897 a railroad brakeman wrote the song, "In the Big Rock Candy Mountain," later recorded by Burl Ives and Tex Ritter. | |
| Skyline Drive - Challenge this rugged dirt road, suitable only for ATVs and 4X4s in spots, as it follows the tops of the mountains through the center of the state, providing access to great hiking, camping and fishing areas. The 350-mile Arapeen Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System includes the Skyline Drive and trails branching from it. In winter, this country offers great snowmobile and snowkite play areas. | |
