Santa will be skiing at our resorts most days just before and after Christmas. We've received record early-season snowfall and conditions are prime.
Torchlight parades will be held at many resorts on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Dazzling light displays: Some 700,000 holiday lights can be seen at Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. Impressive light displays are also offered at the Gallivan Center and Gateway in Salt Lake, at Thanksgiving Point (between Salt Lake and Provo) and at many other local attractions.
Nightly concerts and other activities are offered at Temple Square, and at other locations.
Nativities, pageants, festivals, musical programs and other activities are scheduled in most of our communities, large and small. Check our complete events listing for ideas.
Sundance Film Festival will be held Jan. 20-30. The festival brings crowds and bustle and excitement to Park City, and also to venues in Salt Lake City and other areas. Park City hotels are booked solid but lodging is available nearby. Tickets for many activities are sold out but there are always opportunities to participate in some screenings and other events.
Golfing conditions are excellent in the St. George area, where winter temperatures are mild and the sun shines most days.
