Coyote Gulch Art Village

Coyote Gulch Art Village is a growing enclave of art galleries, artist studios, a café with patio dining, an arboretum and a labyrinth. The Village is an art center teaching painting, ceramics, and photography, or just a place to relax and explore. Concerts and festivals are also a part of the village. The Coyote Gulch Art Village is open to the public seven days a week.

Datura Gallery was the first gallery established in the Coyote Gulch Art Village. Indulge yourself and discover unique treasures among the stunning jewelry designs and eclectic pieces of art. Desert Rose Labyrinth an eleven-circuit labyrinth with an adjoining sculpture garden provides an oasis of quiet for contemplation and reflection. Visitors are welcome to walk the labyrinth or meditate peacefully.

Xetava Desert Arboretum Foundation functions as a resource on xeriscaping. Visitors enjoy walking its paths reading the information on desert appropriate landscaping, and viewing native plants. The arboretum assists local residents and the Kayenta community in selecting plants for individual homes and gardens. The "Desert Bloom Festival" is sponsored by the Arboretum Foundation and is held the first weekend in May.

Festivals and other Events. "Art in Kayenta" held President's Day Weekend is in its 9th year. The juried art festival is the fundraiser for Friends of Ivins Animal Shelter and brings a broad spectrum of artists working in many mediums.

"Desert Bloom Festival" is held the first weekend in May. It is the newest festival sponsored by the Xetava Desert Arboretum Foundation and will feature artists that create whimsical, practical and functional works of art designed with a garden motif or theme. Outdoor sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry as well as indoor garden themed paintings will be exhibited. Workshops and information on water conservation, Green living, and xeriscaping in the desert will be held each day and open to the public free of charge.
